The African Development Bank (ADB) in Collaboration with Japan scholarship program (JSP) wishes to announces the commencement of its 135 graduate scholarships in Asia and Pacific. Interested Candidates from Asia and Pacific can now apply. It’s an opportunities for Youth graduate who wishes to further their masters degree abroad.

The African Development Bank (ADB) in partnership with Japan scholarships program (JSP) provides an estimated of 135 graduate scholarships each year for international students to pursuing their Master’s degree in the following fields:

  • Economics, business, management
  • Development Studies
  • Law and Public Policy
  • Science and Technology

ADB-JSP Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this African Development Bank (ADB) in partnership with Japan Scholarships Program (JSP), applicants must meets the following requirements:

  • Be a holder of Bachelor degree and or its equivalent with an excellent academic records.
  • Be a Citizens of African Development Bank Member countries and or Japanese eligible countries.
  • Must not hold a multiple citizenship of Developed Countries
  • Must have gained/secured admission into a any approved Masters programmes in approval Institutions.
  • Must have at least two years professional working experiences (Full time) obtained after possess a Bachelor degree in University.
  • Be at least 35 years and or younger at the time of application form
  • Be an English fluency in both written and Oral English
  • Be a Physically and mentally (good health)
  • Must not working and or living in a Country other than his/her origin country.
  • Must not currently registered in graduate degree Programmes
  • Must not be an Alternate director, executive director and or any staff of African Development Bank (ADB) and or closely related by blood.

How To Apply ADB-JSP

Below is the procedures for Applying ADB-JSP:

  • Requests application forms and Information from the selected partner University
  • Fill and complete the requires informations such includes ADB- JSP details
  • Sends the required to the partner University
  • Partner University will evaluates and decides on how the admission is giving to any qualified Applicant.
  • Partner University will sends a List of Shortlisted Candidates to the Africa Development Bank (ADB)
  • African Development Bank (ADB) is responsible for reviews from the partner University
  • African Development Bank (ADB) is also responsible to recommend the awardeees based on specified selection requirements to the executive director of Japanese for approval.
  • African Development Bank (ADB) will choses the scholars and notifying the partner University
  • The Partner University will notifying all the selected scholars

  • Applicants are required to submit theirs recent income tax return (ITR) and or salary certification if any together with parents income certification.
  • Applicants are required to submit Application forms and copies of all their academic performance to the partner University with a grant of six (6) months.
