IDPIL Scholarship and Bursary Awards
The IDPIL (Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited) has demonstrated its commitment to building a peaceful and prosperous community by introducing a scholarship/bursary program aimed at fostering educational growth. This program is designed to provide financial support to both indigenous and non-indigenous students residing in the Ikorodu Division who are pursuing higher education in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria. By rewarding academic excellence, the scholarship seeks to encourage high performance and promote an atmosphere of development, ultimately contributing to human capital growth and the economic prosperity of the Ikorodu Division.
IDPIL Scholarship/Bursary Types
There’s three categories of IDPIL program, the categories are as follows below:
- Scholarship Scheme
- Bursary Award One
- Bursary Award Two
1. IDPIL Scholarship Scheme: This type is offers based on the applicants excellent academic performance and its open for both Indigents and residents of Ikorodu area. This Scholarship Scheme provides an award to any qualified Applicant annually with the sum of N200,000 Thousand upon the specified period of time of the program recipients. Under this type of scholarship pre-selected applicants will take an Aptitude Test and oral Interview by the scholarship board.
2. Bursary Award One: This category is also based on applicants excellent academic performance and its open for both Indigents and residents of Ikorodu division. Under this Bursary One qualified applicant will receive a one time award of N100,000 Thousand.
3. Bursary Award Two : This bursary is specifically designated for financially underprivileged indigenes of the Ikorodu Division. While there are no strict academic performance requirements, applicants must have a minimum CGPA of Lower Credit. The award provides a one-time sum of Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000.00) for one academic year.
Application Criteria
To be qualify for the IDPIL Scholarship and Bursary Awards, applicants must satisfy the following eligibility:
- Been a students gained admission as a full time in any recognized public higher institutions in Nigeria.
- Been a students in their second year of study and or above (200L, 300L, 400L and or 500L) with a verifiable cumulative grade point average (CGPA).
- Applicants must provide a proof State of Origin Certificate from local government area. And also Applicants must provide proof of indigeneship when applying for certain scholarships or programs. This typically includes a Letter of Identification from a recognized Oba (traditional ruler) or the Local Government/Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
- Applicants must provide an academic transcript with a dully signed and stamped by the HOD and the University registrar.
- Applicants should only apply for either scholarship and bursary. Applied for both at the same time applicants will be disqualification from both of two scholarships
- Applicants are required to have a strong academic record, with a minimum CGPA of 4.5 (First Class honors division) for university students, and or First class honors division for those in polytechnics, monotechnics, and colleges of education.
- Applicants (Bursary Award One) to be eligible must have an excellent academic performance, with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 (Second Class Upper honors Division) for university students or Upper Credit for polytechnics, monotechnics, and colleges of education.
- Applicants (Bursary Award Two) This category is aimed at financially disadvantaged indigenous students. There is no strict academic requirement, though applicants must maintain a CGPA of at least Lower Credit.
